Mrs. Minnie Mae Miller of Loop Station, died in the Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, at 3:20 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 8, 1955, after an extended illness.

She was born Oct. 30, 1875 at Fishertown, a daughter of William and Rebecca (Wolfe) Blattenberger and married Harry Miller Dec. 19, 1901, at the family home in Fishertown.

She was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church, Hollidaysburg, of the Faithful Daughters Bible class, the Women's Guild and the WCTU.

Surviving are her husband and these children: Ronald J. of Johnstown, Mrs. Alice Cann, at home, Alton C. of Hollidaysburg RD 1, and Clyde W. of Duncansville, RD 1 and 10 grandchildren.

She was a guidance counselor for Nitschman Middle School, Bethlehem, and previously was a teacher for Hollidaysburg Schools, Blair County. She graduated from Ursinus College and received her master's degree from Penn State University.

Born in Altoona, she was a member of Church of the Manger, Bethlehem.

She was the organist, and Sunday school teacher of the King's Daughter's class, of St. John's United Church of Christ Church, Hollidaysburg. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Bethlehem.

Survivors: Sons, George W. Cann of Chautauqua, N.Y., Roger W. Cann of Macungie; stepsons, Keamer Wetzel of Charlottesville, Va., Robert Wetzel of Tremont, Pa.; brother, Elton; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.

Miss Clara Reininger, 88, of New Paris RD, died at her home Saturday evening, March 13, 1976.

She was born November 3, 1887 in East St. Clair Township, a daughter of Eli and Hannah Blattenberger.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Stufft, of New Paris RD. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Miss Reininger was a member of St. James Lutheran Church of Pleasantville.

Funeral services: Tuesday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at the Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home in Pleasantville, with Rev. Nelson Ilgenfritz, officiating. Burial is in the Fishertown Cemetery. Friends will be received in the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make contributions to St. James Lutheran Church.

Adam Blattenberger was a stone mason. He had musical talent and was very much involved in musical activities. He played the violin and organ.

Adam lived all his life in the Fishertown area of Bedford County, PA.

In 1880 Adam Blattenberger, age 20 a laborer, was living in East St. Clair, Bedford Co., PA, with his wife, Sarah Blattenberger age 20, and two children:

Adam Blattenberger died at his home in Fishertown on Tuesday, November 12, of typhoid fever. The funeral service was held yesterday morning at Fishertown.

Adam Blattenberger
The Fishertown community was moved with deep sorrow when it learned of the death of Adam Blattenberger, which occurred Tuesday evening, November 12. Much sympathy had been felt that both he and his son George were stricken with typhoid fever and the death of this esteemed and useful citizen was deplored by all. He had been ill about six weeks and his age was 48 years six months and 28 days.

He was born in East St. Clair township and was the son of Daniel and Margaret Blattenberger.

Thirty-one years ago he wedded Miss Sarah Croyle and to this union thirteen children were born, three of whom died before him. The following survive: Charles of Greentown, O.; Mrs. Fannie Urban of Uniontown, Mrs. Margaret Russel of Jeannette, Miss Nellie at home, Mrs. Kate Adams of Ryot, George, Harry, Ada, Lydia and Ella, at home. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Eli Reininger of East St. Clair township and the following brothers: Frederick and William, of Fishertown; Abram of Roaring Spring and John of Spring Hope.

The funeral services were held at St. Luke's Reformed church, near Fishertown, conducted by Rev B.F. Bausman.

Interment was made in the Hoover Cemetery.

Mr. Blattenberger was a member of the Lutheran church and was an active Sunday school worker. He was talented in music, having at one time taught that art to the young people of his neighborhood. He was a good mechanic, having proved himself successful as a mason, plasterer and paperhanger. He was ever ready to lend a helping hand in time of need and will be greatly missed in his community.

MRS. FANNIE BELL (BLATTENBERGER) URBAN
Mrs. Fannie Bell (Blattenberger) Urban, 1224 Sixteenth avenue, died last night at 5:45 o'clock at her home after having been ill for an extended period.

She was born at Fishertown, Bedford County, Dec. 14, 1878, a daughter of Adam and Sarah (Croyle) Blattenberger.

Mrs. Urban is survived by three daughters and one son, Mrs. Sarah Ann Correll and Rosalice Urban, both at home; Albert Ross Urban, Gary, Ind.; and Mrs. Josephine Seedenberg, Lakemont; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Blair, Fishertown; Mrs. Ada Reininger, Pleasantville; and Mrs. Ella Bender, St. Clairsville.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church.

Friends will be received at the Gilden-Barton funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening.
