Janet Egolf Miller, age 81, of East Watson Street, Bedford, PA, died at 12:17 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center, Main Campus, Johnstown, PA.Janet was born in Juniata Twp., Bedford County, on Jan. 5, 1925. She was the daughter of the late J. Earl and Florence M. (Hillegass) Egolf.
Mrs. Miller was employed at the former Celanese Corp. in Cumberland, MD, and a former secretary at the Bedford Soil Conservation Office. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Bedford, and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Bedford Springs Chapter. Janet was the widow of Warren A. Miller, who preceded her in death on April 6, 1988.
She is survived by sister, Geraldine, widow of William Barley, Bedford; sister, Pauline, widow of Luther Berkey, New Paris; brother, Carl, husband of Geraldine (Taylor) Egolf, Schellsburg; brother-in-law, S. Arthur Way, New Paris; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a sister, Carol E. Way.
A funeral service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, at 11 a.m on Friday, Jan. 13, with the Rev. Robert Robertson officiating. Interment at Fishertown Cemetery, Fishertown, PA.

Eva M. Miller, 85, of Osterburg, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
She was born on September 12, 1929, in Claysburg, a daughter of the late Russell and Grace (Knisely) Stambaugh. On September 12, 1946, in New Paris, she married J. Harry Miller, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her child and grandsons. She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Bowen.
Eva was a lifetime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, in Osterburg. She worked as a traveling cashier for GC Murphy and Ames, and was a former member of Rebecca's Lodge. She enjoyed beach vacations, and spending time with her family and grandsons.

Elmwood Ave., Mechanicsburg, died Monday in Seidle Memorial Hospital, Mechanicsburg.He was a retired employee of the Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Hampden Twp.; a member of Eureka Lodge 302 of F&AM, Harrisburg Consistory, American Legion Post 223 in Shippensburg and VFW Post 6704 in Mechanicsburg; and a World War II Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, S. Eileen Hyssong ; and a brother, Thomas L., and a sister, Nellie Beaver, both of Washington, D.C.
