Gladys R. Mariani, 90, widow of Domenic J. Mariani, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 13, 2010.She was the daughter of the late N. Ruth Lane Smith and Thomas Nagle, and loving stepfather, Attorney Edward H. Smith. She was born in Lebanon, on December 6, 1919.
She is survived by children, Fred S. Kreider and wife, Joanne, Ruthmary V. Pearce, Dana Beth Marshall and her fiance, Donald Patches, Adrian E. Haak and wife, Barbara, and Bernadette, wife of James Huey. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was a graduate of Lebanon County Licensed Practical Nursing Class of 1970. She enjoyed bird watching and was an avid reader and very fluent in playing piano and organ. She was noted for her exceptional home-made chocolate cake. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She worshipped in the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by son, Landin W. Pearce; grandson, Eric Pearce; greatgranddaughter, Jordyn Speece; and brother, Kenneth Nagle.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 18, at 11:30 a.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be held in Grand View Memorial Park. Viewing will be held on Monday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jordyn B. Speece Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o M & T Bank, 710 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003.
