Garland D. Jackson, 67, a former Waverlyite who at one time was employed as a checker at the Quaker Oats warehouse in Waverly, died at his home in Mechanicsburg, Pa., last night, Oct. 1, 1973, following a heart attack.Mr. and Mrs. Jackson resided at Waverly RD 2 when they were in the Valley, and the couple was married on July 24, 1926, at the home of Rev. Koehler, Presbyterian minister in Athens at the time.
Friends may call Thursday night from 7 to 9 o'clock at the Myers Funeral Home, 27 E. Main St., Mechanicsburg.
Services will be held at the funeral home Friday afternoon at 1:30 with Rev. Frederick W. Fowler, pastor of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Mechanicsburg officiating. Burial will be in the Trindle Springs Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
