Kenneth F. Anthony [Parents] was born in 1924 in Pennsville, Lehigh Twp., Northampton Co., PA. He died on 20 Oct 1960 in Bath, Northampton Co., PA and was buried on 24 Oct 1960 in Fairview Cemetery, Moore Twp., Northampton Co., PA. Kenneth married Verna A. Fogel.

Kenneith Anthony, 36, War Veteran, Stricken at Penn-Dixie Plant

The funeral of Kenneth F. Anthony, 36, of Bath R. D. 1, near Point Phillips, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bensing Funeral Home, Moorestown.

Mr. Anthony died of a heart attack while working at Penn-Dixie Cement Corp., Plant 6, Bath, early yesterday. Mr. Anthony was employed by the cement company for 14 years.

He served in the Army during World War II. He was wounded in action twice, in northern France and the Rhineland. He was awarded the Purple Heart medal with one oak leaf cluster and the distinguished unit badge with two bronze stars.

Born In Pennsville, Lehigh Township, he was a son of the late Thomas and Ellen Frantz Anthony.

Surviving are his widow, the former Verna Fogel; seven sons, Ronald, David, Bruce, Donald, Darwin, Kenneth, and Maynard, and two daughters, Brenda and Sharon, all at home; three brothers, Richard, Nazareth R.D. 1, and George and Willard, both of Slatington R. D. 1, and a sister, Miss Viola Anthony, also of Slatington R. D. 1.

Verna A. Fogel [Parents] was born on 16 May 1927 in Moorestown, Northampton Co., PA. She died on 31 Aug 1997 in Easton Hospital, Wilson Borough, Northampton Co., PA and was buried on 3 Sep 1997 in Fairview Cemetery, Moore Twp., Northampton Co., PA. Verna married Kenneth F. Anthony.

Born in Moorestown, she was a daughter of the late Albert Sr. and Emma (Werkheiser) Fogel.

Survivors: Husband; daughters, Brenda Longenbath of Nazareth, and Sharon Sutton and Cathy Powell, both of Bath; sons, Ronald, Kenneth and David, all of Nazareth, Maynard of Bethlehem, Darwin of Bath and Bruce of Newark, N.J.; stepdaughter, Donna Thompson of Hecktown; brothers, Albert Jr. of Wind Gap and Walter of Emmaus, 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Donald.

Donald T. Anthony, 31, of 204 W. Main St., Bath, died Saturday night when he lost control of his motorcycle on Route 248 in Upper Nazareth Township, and it collided with a truck.

Donald T. Anthony was born in Fountain Hill, a son of Verna Fogel Anthony Emery, Wind Gap, and the late Kenneth Anthony, Sr.

He was employed at Geeen Acre Farms, Nazareth, for five years.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his stepfather, Ralph Emery, six brothers, Ronald of Bethlehem, David and Darwin of Wind Gap, Bruce of New Jersey, Kenneth, Jr. of Bath, and Maynard of Nazareth; three sisters, Mrs. Stephen Longenbach, Walnutport, Mrs. Sharon Bond, Bethlehem, and Cathy Emery, Wind Gap.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Bensing Funeral Home, Moorestown. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Moorestown.

Lester. S. Werkheiser, 70, of 48 S. Spruce St., Nazareth, died Friday in Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Palmer Township. He was the husband of Anna (Uhler) Werkheiser, who died April 10.

He was a dryer man for the former Nazareth Cement Co., now the Coplay Cement Co., Lower Nazareth Township, for 30 years before retiring in 1977.

Born in Forks Township, he was a son of the late Franklin and Ella (Berger) Werkheiser.

Surviving are a son Ernest of Milpitas, Calif.; a brother Roy of Belfast, and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Schmidt Mortuary, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. A calling hour will precede the services.

Anna M. Uhler [Parents] was born on 22 May 1916 in Freemansburg, Northampton Co., PA. She died on 10 Apr 1987 in Easton Hospital, Wilson Borough, Northampton Co., PA and was buried on 13 Apr 1987 in St. John's Union Cemetery, Nazareth, Northampton Co., PA. Anna married Lester S. Werkheiser in Nov 1934.

In 1966, 1973, 1978 and 1983 Anna M. (Uhler) Werkheiser was living in Nazareth, PA.

Mrs. Anna M. Werkheiser, 70, of 48 S. Spruce St., Nazareth, died Friday in Easton Hospital. She was the wife of Lester S. Werkheiser. They observed their 52nd wedding anniversary in November.

She was a sewing machine operator for blouse mills in the Nazareth area before retiring.

Born in Freemansburg, she was a daughter of the late Victor Werkheiser and Emma Werkheiser Uhler.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Nazareth.

Surviving with her husband are a son, Ernest of Milpitas, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Christman and Mrs. Violet Trapp, both of Bethlehem, and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Schmidt Mortuary, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. A calling hour will precede the services.
